Do I have to turn off my SIM card when I use eSIM?

You can use your WonderConnect eSIM for mobile data and keep your regular SIM active for calls and SMS.

If your phone does not support both at the same time

Some phones cannot keep the regular SIM and eSIM active in parallel.

If your phone does not support this, you should see a pop-up during installation asking whether you want to turn off your primary SIM to enable the eSIM.

Turning off your regular SIM does not reset your contact list or remove the SIM from your phone. You can turn it back on after your trip.

When turning off your regular SIM makes sense

In some cases, turning off your regular SIM may improve the connection quality for your WonderConnect eSIM.
