On some Android phones, you may not see a separate Data Roaming switch for your WonderConnect eSIM. Instead, your phone may show only one general roaming switch.
This does not mean something is wrong with your eSIM. Some Android phones show roaming settings differently.
To use your WonderConnect eSIM, data roaming has to be enabled. To make sure your home carrier does not charge you for mobile data roaming, we recommend turning off your primary SIM or eSIM, the one you use at home.
This is our recommended setup:
1. Turn off your primary SIM or eSIM.
2. Select your WonderConnect eSIM as the Mobile Data line.
3. Turn on Data Roaming.
When your primary SIM or eSIM is turned off, your phone cannot accidentally use mobile data from your home carrier. This is the safest way to avoid carrier data roaming charges.
