# Can I move my eSIM to another phone?

It depends on your eSIM type - check your eSIM details to see which one you have.

## **How to check if your eSIM can be moved to another device**

**In your web account**

1. Log in to your account.

2. In the **Your eSIMs** list on the left, click the eSIM you want to check.

3. Click **eSIM details**.

4. Scroll down to **Switching devices**.

You'll see either **Possible** or **Not possible**. Click **Switching devices** for more details.

**In the WonderConnect app**

1. Open the app and log in if needed.

2. If you have more than one eSIM, tap **Your eSIMs** on the home screen and select the eSIM you want to check.

3. Tap **Details**.

4. Scroll down to **Switching devices**.

You'll see either **Possible** or **Not possible**. Tap **Switching devices** for more details.

## If your eSIM supports moving to another phone

1. Delete it from your current phone first (see [dedicated articles](https://help.wonderconnect.com/en/collections/20-post-travel-esim-management) for step-by-step instructions).

2. Install it on the new phone using the same QR code or activation codes from your original purchase.

> **Warning:** Make sure you **delete** the eSIM from the device, before installing on a new one. Turning off the eSIM or changing the mobile data line is not enough. eSIM can not be stored on two devices at the same time - that’s why you have to Delete the eSIM in your phone settings.

An eSIM can only be active on one device at a time, so always remove it from the first phone before installing it on the second. It may take from 5 to 10 minutes for the eSIM to catch a signal on a new device.

> **Info:** To track your data usage on the new device, download the WonderConnect app and log in with the same email address you used when purchasing the eSIM. **Your eSIM stays linked to the account it was purchased on** and can't be transferred to a different account.

## If your eSIM works on one device only

It stays on the phone where you first installed it. Even if you delete it, you won't be able to install it on another phone - you'd need to buy a new eSIM for the new device.
