# Why does my Android phone show 2 GB when I bought more data?

If you bought a 10 GB plan but your phone’s Data usage screen shows 2 GB, this does not mean you received a smaller plan. The 2 GB figure may be your phone’s default data warning setting.

## What is the 2 GB warning on Android devices?

Android phones can track mobile data usage over a selected period and warn you when you reach a set amount, such as 2 GB. Your phone does not automatically match this setting to the WonderConnect plan you bought.

There are two separate settings:

- **Data warning:** shows a notification when you reach the chosen amount.

- **Data limit:** turns off mobile data when you reach the chosen amount, if this option is enabled.

You can change or turn off these settings on your phone.

> **Info:** **This setting does not change your WonderConnect plan size or remaining data.** Check your balance in the **WonderConnect app**.

## Where to find the data limit on Samsung

1. Open **Settings** and go to **Connections**.

2. Tap **Data usage**. You may see **2.00 GB** beside the usage bar.

3. Tap **Billing cycle and data warning** to check the warning and limit settings.

Menu names may vary depending on your phone model.

## How to change the warning or limit on Samsung

1. Open **Settings** and go to **Connections**.

2. Tap **Data usage**.

3. Tap **Billing cycle and data warning**.

4. Tap **Data warning** to change the warning amount, or turn off **Set data warning**.

5. If **Set data limit** is on, tap **Data limit** to change the amount, or turn off **Set data limit** to prevent this setting from stopping your mobile data.

## How to check your actual remaining data

1. Open the **WonderConnect app**.

2. If you have several eSIMs, tap **Your eSIMs** and select the one you want to check.

3. Check **Remaining data** on the home screen.

Your phone’s usage counter may cover a different period from your eSIM plan. Always check the WonderConnect app to see how much data you have left.
