# Google Pixel eSIM Installation - Before Your Trip

You can install your travel eSIM even before the trip - it doesn't start the validity period. Follow these steps to set up an eSIM on your Google Pixel.

> **Success:** You can follow these instructions even if you don’t have the WonderConnect mobile app.

> **Info:** This instruction is dedicated to Android 14 and Android 15.

## Start Installation Process

Before you begin, make sure you have a stable internet connection - this is critical for a successful installation.

> **Error:** If your eSIM covers more than one country and you're currently in one of them, installing it now can start your plan's validity - the eSIM may connect to a supported network as soon as it's installed. To avoid losing validity, install shortly before your trip. You can see the countries your plan covers in your eSIM details.

### Open Phone Settings

1.  Go to **Settings**:
    
    -   Open **Network & internet** section.

2.  Tap **SIMs**.
    
    -   Tap **\+ Add SIM**.
        
    -   Tap **Set up an eSIM**. The “Checking network info…” screen will appear. Loading on this screen may take a while. Please don't interrupt the process.

### If You Have Access to the Computer

3.  Log in to the account you used to purchase your travel eSIM:
    
    -   Go to **Your Account**.
        
    -   Click **Complete eSIM setup** on your eSIM view.
        
    -   Click the **“No app”** tab in the pop-up.
        
    -   Scan the QR code.
        
4.  If you can’t log in to your account:
    
    -   Open the **purchase confirmation email** sent right after you bought the eSIM.
        
    -   Scroll to **find the QR code and scan it** with your camera.

### If You Don’t Have Access to the Computer

5.  If you can't scan the code:
    
    -   Tap **Try these troubleshooting steps**.
        
    -   Tap **Enter it manually**.

6.  Open the WonderConnect mobile app:
    
    -   Tap **Details** on the home screen.
        
    -   Copy the **Activation Code**.

    > **Warning:** **If you don’t have the WonderConnect mobile app**
    >
    > ✉ Open the **purchase confirmation email** sent right after you bought the eSIM. Manually enter the Activation Code shown in the email into the Settings.
    
7.  Go back to the settings screen:
    
    -   Long press to paste the code.
        
    -   Tap **Continue**.

### Finish eSIM Setup

8.  Tap **Set up**. Don't worry if you see a different eSIM name than the one shown here - it varies based on the location you purchased it for. Next, you will see a loading screen. Please do not interrupt the process.

9.  On the “Activate your eSIM” screen:
    
    -   Tap **Close**.

🎉 **Congratulations!** Your travel eSIM is now installed and ready for activation when you reach your destination. You’ll also receive an SMS confirming the installation.

If you go back to the WonderConnect mobile app:

-   Tap **I completed the installation**.
    
-   Tap **Close** on the status screen.

## Next Step: Activate at Your Destination

Your eSIM is installed, but it’s not active yet. Here's what is ahead of you when you reach your destination:

1.  Make sure your travel eSIM is turned ON.
    
2.  Select the eSIM as your mobile data line and turn off Allow data switching feature.
    
3.  Turn on data roaming for your eSIM.
