Turning off the eSIM does not remove it from your phone. It will stay listed in your settings below your regular SIM, and you can turn it on again anytime.
What happens when you turn off the eSIM?
When you turn off your WonderConnect eSIM, your phone stops using it for mobile data.
This means your phone may start using data from your primary SIM instead. If you are abroad, this may lead to roaming charges from your home carrier.
Turning off your eSIM doesn't pause your plan — once your validity period has started, it keeps counting down whether the eSIM is on or off.
Checklist after you turn the eSIM back on
After turning your WonderConnect eSIM on again, make sure the activation settings are correct:
Select your WonderConnect eSIM as the Mobile Data line.
Turn on Data Roaming for your WonderConnect eSIM.
Make sure Data Roaming is turned off for your primary SIM if you want to avoid carrier data roaming charges.
